College football ceased being a pure amateur endeavor once colleges began receiving million dollar checks from TV networks and Bowl sponsors.These monetary windfalls are due to the blood, sweat and work put in by 18, 19 and 20 year old kids.
I have fairly earned the reputation of being man basher. It is a habit that I acquired from my mother. Because I do not want to pass this trait on to my own daughters, I have recently made a conscious effort to stop. I have found it to be nearly impossible to eradicate this behavior from my life. Every day, I am confronted with new reasons to bemoan men and their weaknesses. The recent news of Tiger Wood’s multiple indiscretions is not really shocking. I get it – he had the opportunity to cheat so he did. What I am most bothered by this week is the insight that has been shared by many men as to why he cheated.
