money I did not get you a birthday present. It's not because I don't care. It's only because you are a dog. Nevertheless, I'd still like to celebrate you, like I always do, in a way that you will probably never be aware of. By telling others about your daily triumphs, I hope to do some justice to your two short years of life.
The question was asked today at lunch. Have we reached the turning point as a civilization where we can no longer survive without modern technology? Before commenting on this topic, I would point out the irony of using the blog as a forum to discuss it. As the medium suggests, I think we have long passed the turning point where our civilization would survive without technology. Sure, some men and women would persevere but it would be a nasty life reminiscent of McCarthy's The Road that none of us spoiled 21st century humans would care to endure. I could go on ad nauseam with proofs and theories to support this premise, but I think it'd be more productive to offer solutions instead.
