I look forward to hearing more of your personal stories. I have to think there is a time of day to share video games. My son loves them. He and his Mom spend hours together talking about strategy, checking the internet for moves, and playing. There is a connection there and it is one I think they will continue to share. I agree with your assessment, especially with video games and youth culture being so linked.

Too much of anything is bad, but if an action is done out of the motive to share time and experience, I think that is a positive experience for the child and parent.

Thanks for lunch and welcome.

plumbing comments on How to Use Green Energy Technology to Save Energy at Home

I must say that this article is very good and informative. On a serious note, I just watched a documentary about DMT, "The Spirit Molecule", that occurs naturally in humans and in many other plant and animal life. One scientific theory is that people who experience profound religious experiences may be producing more DMT in their bodies. For the sake of argument, I don't think that this necessarily means that religious people are merely being fooled by an element of their biology. Rather the fact that there's a widespread presence of DMT across many species and science has yet to explain why, may point to the fact that a higher unexplained power is at work even at the molecular level.

Thanks for the food for thought.

Patrick Edmonds comments on Science Proves that Democrats Have Bigger Brains than Republicans

This is as absurd as the study a few years ago that identified physical features that could determine if someone is more likely to be gay.

These universities are out of control with their ridiculous studies. I was just trying to get more absurb than the actual scientific experiment that involved a huge generalization based on 500 persons studied. I get it - the brain strinks with age and stress; there is no need to pry into the religious beliefs of people.

It was fun to write the satire and I needed a good title hook, though I agree misleading and ridiculous.

I think polticians have smaller brains than all the Democrats and Republicans - talk about hanging around people who don't like your views, being older, and under stress.

Thanks for the comment.

DMA3 comments on Science Proves that Democrats Have Bigger Brains than Republicans

Interesting stuff, but I don't see any correlation between these findings and political parties.
