All the President’s Men: Washington’s Legacy?

For the past eight years, in the birthplace of liberty, Philadelphia, and at the womb of this country’s liberation, Independence Hall, an excavation has been underway to uncover and reveal the whole story of George Washington’s legacy. This past Wednesday, December 15th, at the new President’s House, ironically adjacent from the Liberty Bell Center, the entire truth of one of our most revered founding fathers, patriots, presidents, and slaveholders is revealed for all its depraved, historic reality.

Is the Writing on the Wall in Cursive?

There is something of magic inherent in the craft of penmanship. There is a special emotional connection in the handwriting on a personal note or inside a card. An Extravagant Celebration of... Words???

The day will be most memorable in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival... It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade... bonfires and illuminations (fireworks) from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forevermore.* These amazingly prophetic words were written on July 3rd, 1776 by John Adams in a letter he wrote to his wife after the Continental Congress had decided to proclaim itself a sovereign state, separate from English law.*
