As they drove past the embankments of snow, he couldn’t help but contemplate its swift change in just a few days. In under a week, the unexpected snow that had brought so many to a standstill and was proclaimed to be an early Christmas present, was now flung aside, pilled high in driveways and sidewalks and higher in parking lots along the side of the road.
