Day One

Enter Stage Left: The small room, Deliberation Room 5, is well light. The majority of the room is occupied by a large, rectangular table with exactly fourteen chairs. The space is limited, and the table is cluttered with the mornings’ coffee, donuts, and water. A box containing white binders with notes from the trial is in the center of the table. The twelve jurors are just starting their deliberation.
